Safeguarding and Child Protection

Quality First Education is committed to creating a safe, secure environment for all learners.

Commitment

Safeguarding is central to the way we teach, communicate, and support children online.

Children learn best when they feel safe, respected, and supported, and that principle shapes both our teaching practice and our wider procedures.

Qualified teachers and checks

All teachers at Quality First Education are qualified teachers.

Safeguarding checks, including DBS checks where required, are completed before teaching begins so that families can feel confident in the professionalism and suitability of the adults working with children.

Online safety

Our online learning spaces are designed to be structured, calm, and appropriately monitored.

  • Sessions are conducted in structured, monitored environments.
  • Appropriate behaviour is expected at all times.
  • Learning activities and communication are kept relevant to teaching and learner support.

Responsibilities

Parents play an important role in supporting safe online learning, particularly within the home environment.

Parents are responsible for:

  • Supervising their child’s learning environment
  • Ensuring appropriate use of technology
  • Helping children attend sessions in a suitable and safe setting

Concerns

Any safeguarding concerns will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

Where a concern is raised, it will be reviewed carefully and responded to in line with the nature of the concern and the responsibilities involved.
