Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to common questions about learning, structure, support, and how QFE works.
We want families to feel informed, reassured, and confident about how QFE works. If you still have a question after reading through the sections below, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
General
QFE is a structured, online learning platform focused on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and maths.
It is designed around child development, ensuring that children learn with clarity, confidence, and understanding — not pressure or speed.
Our approach combines live teaching, structured learning pathways, and downloadable resources so that families can choose the kind of support that best suits their child.
Teaching & Curriculum
QFE is not casual tutoring.
It is a structured, curriculum-based approach designed to build long-term understanding rather than provide short-term help with isolated tasks.
Lessons are:
- sequenced carefully
- focused on reasoning
- designed for progression
This means children are not simply helped through individual problems. They are taught in a way that strengthens understanding over time.
Courses & Enrolment
You can browse available courses through the course catalogue and book directly.
Once enrolled, all session details will appear in your parent dashboard.
If you are unsure which course or level is the best fit, you can also get in touch before booking for guidance on the most suitable next step.
Phonics
QFE covers:
- Phase 2
- Phase 3
- Phase 4
- Phase 5 (split into two parts, 12 weeks total)
Each phase is taught in a structured sequence so that children build secure blending, reading, spelling, and fluency skills before moving forward.
Digital Downloads
Structured learning resources designed to be used at home.
They include:
- clear explanations
- guided activities
- structured progression
They are designed to feel purposeful and easy to follow, giving families a clear framework for learning at home.
Parent Dashboard & Technical
A central space where families can manage learning in one place.
It allows you to:
- view your child’s timetable
- access Zoom links
- see homework and notes
- track progress
Pricing & Payments
Pricing is based on the number of lessons in each module.
There are no long-term contracts — you pay per module.
This gives families flexibility to choose the right level of support without committing to a model that feels too rigid.
International Families
Yes.
QFE is designed for global access and is not tied to a single education system.
Because the pathway is developmental, children can continue learning with consistency even if they are living outside the UK or moving between countries.
SEND Support
Yes.
With SENDCo experience, QFE supports children who:
- need a gentler pace
- struggle with confidence
- benefit from structured teaching
The emphasis is on clarity, focused teaching, and building secure understanding without unnecessary pressure.
